Data protection

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), Tremark Associates Limited is the data controller of your personal information and is entered in the Information Commissioner’s Register of Data Controllers with registration number Z6357413

As a data controller, we take all necessary steps to comply with our obligations under the Act and its relevant subordinate legislation when handling any personal information.

When we process any personal information we meet our legal obligations to you in the way that we deal with that information.

In accordance with the Act, we are required to collect personal information fairly and to let you know how we will use it and whether we will pass the information on to anyone else.

You are entitled to see the personal information that we hold about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. What personal information do we collect and why do we collect it?

We may collect and process the following personal information about you through our Website or otherwise when conducting our business

We will retain your personal information for so long as is reasonably necessary and delete it thereafter. Disclosure of your personal data

We will only disclose your personal information to another person or organisation where we:

Call recording

This could include any incoming or outgoing telephone calls that are handled by us.

It has become common practice to record some calls due to the growth of business conducted by telephone.

Recording customer conversations allows organisations to assess customer satisfaction, train and develop staff, review call quality, and have access to a verbal record of what is said in the event of a subsequent complaint.

Where we store your personal data

The personal information that we collect from you via our website contact forms will stored on our server, and within the ‘Contact Form 7 Database’ in the secure administration area of the back end of our website.

The personal information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or one of our suppliers.  Such staff may be engaged in, amongst other things, the provision of support services. By submitting your personal information you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.  We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely, only transferred outside the EEA where equivalent protection is assured in accordance with principle 8 of the Data Protection Principles and in accordance with this Notice.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website; any transmission is at your own risk.  Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Retention of your personal data

We will retain your personal information for a minimum of six years and so long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained and in accordance with our legal obligations and follow our data destruction policy and processes thereafter.

This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
