How much does it cost to serve divorce papers?

Service costs in divorce come in two layers: the court fee everyone pays, and the additional cost that arises only when the respondent does not engage.

The baseline: the court does it for free

The divorce application fee, currently £612 and reviewed annually, covers the whole court process from application to final order, including the court's service of the application on the respondent by email and post.
