In 2006 Karl Brooker joined Tremark as a marketing graduate straight from The University of Leeds. Today Mark Hodgson, Managing Director of Tremark is pleased to announce Karl’s appointment alongside himself and wife Stacey as a Tremark Director.
Karl confirmed, “Initially Tremark gave me a job that along with mentoring, training and their total encouragement I’ve been able to develop and build into a highly professional career. I’m truly delighted to be appointed a Tremark Director.”

He is a great asset to the business providing high-quality and professional investigation services that are trusted by many large organisations, financial institutions, local authorities, law firms and businesses across the UK.” Mark continued “Karl is a classic case of our nurturing of ‘home grown talent’ – someone who through dedication and hard work has developed from a junior member of our team to his role as Investigations Director.”
Karl is responsible for an eight strong department tracing individuals, serving court papers, carrying out surveillance or checking the backgrounds of employees or other subjects giving all the details clients need to make informed decisions and take the next steps. He also has the responsibility to maintain some twenty separate investigation services ranging from Bailiff Services to Asset Validity Reports, and he manages relationships with over 500 solicitors nationwide, 75 professionals within the Insolvency sector and 25 in the Public sector.
A full member of The Association of British Investigators he is also directly responsible for a pool of over 60 self-employed investigating agents. He ensures that accurate instructions to agents, quality standards and high levels of professionalism are upheld and he is readily available at all times of the day in case an agent requires advice, support or direction while carrying out their duties.
In an industry that relies heavily on person to person processes and trust Karl is a true team player, with staff, clients and agents alike. He’s thoroughly professional and has set standards that have had a positive impact on other Tremark departments and clients reflected in his nomination as ‘Rising Star’ in the St Nick Awards 2010.
